A History of Lee Township

Lee Township is located in southeastern Nelson County, North Dakota, approximately six miles east of McVille and just south of Kloten. Organized during the late nineteenth century, the township became home to hundreds of immigrant families who established farms on the rich prairie soils.

Although no incorporated town exists within the township itself, Lee Township has long been closely connected to the communities of Kloten, McVille, Pekin, Tolna, and Lakota for commerce, education, worship, and community life.
